Come Along
Events for Campaign
To engage and inform as many people as possible, several events are being organized by those supporting the YES! campaign and other independent organisations to highlight why an elected mayor is a great opportunity (or not) for Birmingham to develop and become a better city. Currently, these events include:
Future Gov is helping to host an event in Birmingham in the coming months, check back for details soon.
Labour Yes campaign, launched in September and will be hosting various Labour thought debates on the issue.
The Lunar society is we hope to be hosting a debate soon to discuss the Mayor and referendum.
The Birmingham chamber of commerce asked us to participate in an event to formulate a response to the consultation at the beginning of December, which we did.
Politics in Brum asked us to participate in an event which brings the debate to the Yes and No campaigns. We attended this debate which was held at the Hyatt in Birmingham.
This list will be updated when there are changes, so be on the look out for more information.
Regular Meetings
The YES! campaign meet every Friday morning in the Jewellery Quarter to share ideas, update each other on the campaign’s progress, and to plan for future events. We’re a welcoming bunch and are always pleased to have new volunteers, so if you’re interested in the campaign and would like to help out, feel free to email julia@rebeluncut.co.uk for more information.
Run your own
Interested in running your own event in support of the YES! campaign? We can help! We can provide support and information if you’re thinking of holding meetings, tweet-ups, and any other events. Please do get in touch by sending an email to julia@rebeluncut.co.uk
Survey your organisation
If you’re an organisation in the city and feel you should know what stance your organisation should be taking on this important and potentially critical issue, why not get in touch about a survey that you can send to your employees, to guage their feelings. Please do get in touch by sending an email to julia@rebeluncut.co.uk and we will help you with information and links to unbiased survey tools that will allow you to engage with your stakeholders and take a stance.
